What is shaved ice?

Shaved ice or Hawaiian shave ice is an ice based dessert made by shaving a block of ice and flavoring it with syrup and other sweet toppings. I contrast, a snow cone, a similar American dessert, is made with crushed ice rather than shaved ice. Shaved ice feels more like real snow and takes on more flavor than ice cones.






What are Acai bowls?

“Acai in the bowl” is a Brazilian dessert made from frozen and mashed acai, a small purple berry from palm trees in the Amazon, and topped with granola and fruit. Acai is a considered a superfood for its high antioxidant content and other multiple health benefits.




What are Pitaya bowls?

Pitaya bowls are similar to Acai bowls, but made with pitaya, also known as dragon fruit, puree.  Like the acai berry, pitaya is high in antioxidants, fiber and other vitamins.
